OUR WORK

Arrival Square

A probation facility within the East Midlands region. With the client remaining within the building we were tasked, through a phased approach to carry out an internal refresh of the building.
The project was delivered in house using a team of five engineers and one site manager. Working closely with the building manager, all project implementations were initiated according to the detailed programme agreed prior to works commencing.

Decoration – Repair and make good plasterboard walls, prepare, paint and decorate walls using corporate colours to include feature walls.

Flooring – Supply and install new carpet tiles and replace vinyl flooring to WCs and Reception areas.

Blinds – Remove and replace damaged vertical blinds with new.

PROJECT VALUE, SIZE & DURATION

The Project programme was 16 weeks

Difficulties encountered with this project were phasing the works to maintain a fully functioning site. Weekend and evening works were particularly important to ensure high-level interviews were able to be conducted on site on a daily basis.

The focus for TSBs team has always been to execute exceptional service delivery while maintaining the highest of standards, of which this project was no exception. A team of experts in their own field, TSBs engineers’ years of project experience allowed for a timely handover, all the while sticking to the client’s original scope.

THE TASK HAND

The design was based on the recently updated corporate design guide. This included commercial grade carpets to meeting rooms, open plan office areas and staircases. Freshly painted walls were to include feature walls to add colour and enhance the corporate styling.

To accommodate a fully occupied building the work areas were divided into two phases with staff relocated from the current phase of works to alternative areas. Each working area was protected to contain any builders dust from leaving the work area along with keeping staff safe from entering the area of works.

Out of hours working was utilised alongside normal working hours to maintain programme and to allow the client full access to high priority meeting and interview rooms.
