OUR WORK

5 North Colonnade

With the client remaining within the building we were tasked, through a phased approach, to carry out an internal refresh of the building.
All works were delivered via an in-house team of 5 engineers and 1 site manager. Working closely with the building manager, works were progressed according to the detailed programme of refurbishments agreed prior to works commencing. Decoration – Repair and make good plasterboard walls. Prepare paint and decorate walls including feature walls using corporate colours. Flooring – Supply and install new carpet tiles and replace vinyl flooring to WCs and Reception areas. Blinds – Remove and replace damaged vertical blinds with new.

PROJECT VALUE, SIZE & DURATION

The Project programme 16 weeks Challenges encountered with the project were to phase the works whilst maintaining the clients fully functioning business operations. Weekend and evening works were especially intrinsic to this support to ensure the continuity of high-level interviews being conducted on site on a daily basis. The focus for TSB’s team has always been to execute exceptional service delivery whilst maintaining the highest of standards, of which this project was no exception. A team of experts in their own field; TSB’s engineers’ years of project experience provided a timely handover, adhering to the clients’ original scope.

THE TASK HAND

The design was based on the recently updated corporate design guide. This included commercial grade carpets to meeting rooms and open plan office areas and staircases. Freshly painted walls were to include feature walls to add colour and enhance the corporate branding. To accommodate a fully occupied building the work areas were divided in two phases with staff relocated from the current phase of works to alternative areas. Each working area was protected to contain any builders dust from leaving the work area along with keeping staff safe from entering the area of works. Out of hours working was utilized alongside normal working hours to maintain programme and to allow the client full access to high priority meeting and interview rooms.
